DIY Science Kits
Bring the Scitech WOW to every classroom in WA, from schools in the Perth Metro area to regional WA communities. DIY Kit hires include free delivery to and from your school no matter where you are in WA – no remote community is too far away to bring Scitech to you!
Our DIY Science Kits have been designed to enable teachers of any science capability to teach up to 8 weeks’ worth of themed lessons, experiments and investigations around a particular topic.
- The kits are user friendly, and are designed to support teachers in the delivery of the science curriculum. They cover the four science strands: Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth & Space Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
- Each science kit contains the required equipment, resources and lesson instructions for Foundations – 6.
- The content covers up to 8 weeks’ worth of lesson planning.
- The teacher resource books, worksheets and investigation planners will be available to you electronically, and they are free for you to keep on your own device even after your kit hire has finished.
DIY Science Kits, proudly supported by Rio Tinto, are available for hire by registered Western Australian schools for use solely within and by the staff at the hiring school.

In the DIY Kits: Biological Sciences, students explore the attributes of living and non-living things, and go on a ‘School Safari’ to explore environments and habitats. Learn what plants need to grow, how different animals survive, and investigate the needs of living things.
